July Practice News

Reflections after one year…

Nautilus Health has been at our new address for one year! We have all enjoyed the easy access, warm and welcoming spaces and making it like home. Whilst the practice has grown and the appearance is a bit different, our approach has not changed.

Our mission is to treat you as a whole person and help you plan your care proactively based on your unique circumstances.

About our Practitioners

Dr Ray Mullen is a general practitioner with post graduate training in Integrative Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Acupuncture. He integrates conventional medical wisdom with diet, nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle counselling.

Dr Abid Vatani is a general practitioner with post graduate training in Women’s health, Sexual Health, Skin Cancer Medicine, Paediatrics and Mental Health. She loves working with patients to understand your individual concerns and values the opportunity to build relationships with you over time. Whilst she is not trained in integrative medicine, with Dr Mullen’s mentoring she is able assist in management of these health concerns while Dr Mullen is on leave.

Jennifer Mullen is a holistic psychotherapist who believes that all of us are capable of self healing, self regulation, growth and change. She is always curious to discover with her clients, the interplay between mind, body and emotional awarenesses. Her sessions are a self reflection time, to shift awareness and build a sense of self. Jennifer enjoys working proactively with both individuals and couples.

Nicole Pierotti is a psychologist who specialises in babies and children. She loves to see parents who wish to be proactive. If you are looking for advice and strategies to create a happier family environment, to have a baby that is happy and sleeps well, or for help with calming anxious children, you can self refer to Nicole, or be referred by a GP under the Better Access scheme.

Sally O’Brien is a clinical psychologist with a special interest in life transitions. She enjoys working with people from different backgrounds and tailors therapy needs to the individual, aiming to alleviate distress and increase optimal functioning.

With Dr Vatani at the practice we now have more same day appointments available for acute health concerns and injuries, at our new general practice rates.

A message from our practice team

Nicole Pierotti is returning from leave on July 7.

Dr Mullen and Jennifer are going on leave in August. Dr Abid Vatani will be working every day for most of this time.

Please continue to book your health reviews and planned appointments such as excisions, acupuncture or immunisations at least 3 weeks in advance when possible.

We use voicemail between 12.30 and 1.30. Please leave us a message and we will return your call.

Don’t forget we have pathology services at the practice 8.30 – 10.30 every day.

We enjoy working with our team of practitioners to ensure our patients and clients receive a high standard of care and we always welcome your feedback.

If you have concerns about any aspect of your care at Nautilus Health please make an appointment with Dr Mullen to discuss this.
