Dr Dan Gwynne

I  am a General Practitioner with an interest in Lifestyle and Family Medicine. I completed my medical degree through the University of Queensland’s rural clinical school in Toowoomba; where I continued my residency before commencing full-time service in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as an Aviation Medical Officer in 2012.  I obtained my Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2017 and have recently commenced Primary studies through the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM).

My service in the RAAF has offered unique life experiences; with multiple deployments to the Middle East working in multinational trauma teams and training in Aviation medicine. I understand many of the unique stresses and challenges faced by Defence Families and can assist with access to additional support available through various support agencies.

I am a member of the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine and am a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner with CASA.

My interests include:  Skin Cancer, Dermatology, Lifestyle and Nutrition, Paediatric and Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.

My family and I have found our home here in Townsville and I am fortunate to be a new member of the Nautilus team as I transition out of the Defence Force.  I look forward to assisting you to implement effective and practical strategies to improve your health and enjoyment of life over the years to come.
